Foshan Furniture Freight Forwarder

Foshan Furniture Freight Forwarder Directory for Lecong Shipments

Review published international-forwarder listings and use a consistent checklist when requesting proposals for furniture collected in Lecong or elsewhere in Foshan.

Shipment planning notes

Verify the contracting and operating parties

The forwarder that can quote one route may not be the right contracting party for another. Confirm who issues the invoice or transport document and which work is performed by agents or subcontractors.

  • Check the legal company name and the account receiving payment.
  • Ask which origin, international and destination tasks are subcontracted.
  • Confirm one accountable contact for exceptions and claims.

Send the same brief to every provider

Furniture quotations are easier to compare when every provider receives the same cargo sheet and delivery request. Update the data after final packing because chargeable volume can change.

  • Use a line-by-line packing list with dimensions and materials.
  • Specify whether pickup, export packing, customs and final delivery are required.
  • Ask each provider to identify taxes and third-party charges not included.

LCL and FCL for furniture

LCL · CONSOLIDATION

Share container space

Confirm chargeable volume or weight, warehouse cut-off, handling, transshipment, and destination fees.

FCL · FULL CONTAINER

Use a dedicated container

Confirm container size, loading plan, weight limits, trucking, port charges, free time, and unloading.

Neither option is automatically cheaper. Compare the same scope of charges and destination service before deciding.

Common ports discussed for enquiries

  • Guangzhou
  • Nansha
  • Shenzhen
  • Shekou

The actual port of loading depends on the destination, carrier service, warehouse, cutoff, trucking plan, and quotation.

Typical cost components

  • China pickup or trucking

Pickup in Lecong or Foshan, local transfer, waiting, loading, and unloading.

  • Packing and loading

Cartons, corner protection, frames or cases, container loading, and securing.

Furniture packing checklist

  • Measure the furniture after packing; quotations based on unpacked sizes can be inaccurate.
  • Protect corners, glass, stone, hardware, and protruding parts separately and label package numbers.
  • Photograph the goods, packing process, and finished packages, and keep the packing list.
  • Confirm moisture protection, stacking limits, container securing, and who is responsible for damage claims.

Wood frames, cases, and ISPM 15

Solid-wood packaging used in international trade may need an approved phytosanitary treatment and a compliant ISPM 15 mark. Requirements vary by material and destination; heat treatment, fumigation, marking, and supporting documents must be confirmed before packing.

Processed wood products such as plywood may be treated differently, but the exact acceptance rule belongs to the destination authority.

FOB, CIF, and DDP — brief explanations

FOB

For sea transport, the seller delivers the goods on board the buyer-nominated vessel at the named port. Risk transfers on board; the buyer normally arranges the main carriage and import side.

CIF

The seller arranges and pays sea carriage and the required insurance to the named destination port, while risk still transfers when the goods are on board at the port of shipment. Import clearance is normally the buyer’s responsibility.

DDP

The seller has the broadest obligation, including delivery to the named place and import clearance and duties. Confirm that the responsible party can legally complete import formalities in the destination country.

These are simplified explanations, not contract or legal advice. State the named port or place and the applicable Incoterms® 2020 rule in the sales contract. Official ICC information

Frequently asked questions

How should I evaluate a furniture freight forwarder in Foshan?

Verify the contracting legal entity, current business credentials, relevant route experience, written quotation scope, cargo handover process, subcontracting arrangements and claims contact. Requirements vary by shipment and destination.

What should a comparable forwarder quotation show?

Ask for the transport mode, chargeable volume or weight, pickup and origin charges, packing, documentation, international freight, destination charges, customs responsibility, taxes, delivery scope, validity period and major exclusions.

Does a directory listing mean the platform recommends the company?

No. A listing provides public business information for consultation. Users must independently verify the provider and agree the service contract, payment, liability, insurance and claims terms.

Will the platform select the lowest-price forwarder?

No. The platform does not promise a lowest price, successful booking or completed delivery. An enquiry may be matched with relevant directory providers so that you can compare their current proposals.

Who is responsible if furniture is damaged?

Responsibility depends on the signed contract, packing condition, handover evidence, insurance and applicable transport terms. Photograph the cargo and packing, retain documents and obtain the provider’s claims procedure before shipment.
